Indoor Frisbee Golf!
It's very rainy and windy here today and a bit on the cold side, so Magic and Wishful have decided to play indoors.

This came with the text:

I couldn't help it, I answered with
"Awesome! Totally rad, dude!"
The return text that I got was:
"The popping and locking are indeed rad. Should've never let them watch Breakin'."
When he got home from work, he informed me that they were planning on watching Breakin' 2 tonight. This should be interesting.

I will admit, I didn't understand this one at first..
But, after talking to Clayton, I get it now... kinda.
This is Magic and Wishful playing a scene from Batman vs. Superman. Wishful is Batman of course.
I didn't see this movie, so that's why I didn't get the reference. Apparently, I have a movie to watch lol

Unicorn powers... Activate!
On Friday, Clayton was dealing with a lot of frustrating customers. I got a text from him, pretty much ranting and raving about having to explain something twenty times over to someone.
I told him, this is what your unicorns are for.. it's time to activate their powers.
So, I get a return text that says:
Activate!
Now, I figured it was done. But, little did I know, there was more to come!
The next text I got was..
Shape of .... a coffee!
Needless to say, I was quite amused and waited for the "form of" text. I wasn't disappointed.
"Form of .... papertowels!
... not quite sure what the master plan is here...."
Sadly, we both got busy and kind of forgot about it until he got home. I asked him what was the ultimate outcome.
"Unicorns work in mysterious ways." was the answer I got.
Later he casually mentioned that he'd gotten a nosebleed at work. I said, well, there's where the paper towels came in to play.
He paused and his eyes widened. "Oh my god.. how did Wishful know?!"
"Because they're magic unicorns, honey" was my response.
"They really are magic..."
Even today, when lazing around in bed before getting up this morning, he says in a low voice.
"I still wanna know how Wishful was precognitive. How did he know?"
Magic, hon. It's magic.

Hide and seek! (Pic heavy)
Today was a rousing game of hide and go seek!
The first picture I got was this one, with the message "Hide and seek today."
That's Wishful counting, so you know.
My response .. "But where's Magic??"
The answer.. "....hiding? It's hide and seek.."
This wasn't good enough for me. "But where is she hiding?! We need to see her hidey spot!"
I will admit, it took me a few seconds to find her. But that just goes to show that she picked a good spot.
So then I get the following picture with the message "Hehe.. he's having trouble finding her."
Naturally, that concerned me a bit because I didn't want him to get stressed or scared that he'd lost her.
I was told, "Oh, they are both having fun. Every time he gets close, she giggles. I can see her ears shaking."
A few minutes later, he found her!!
Way to go, Wishful!!
And much happiness was had by all! :D

Over the weekend...
Being office unicorns, they do have the run of the building from Friday after work until people come in on Monday. Today, the order desk lady who gets there early is on vacation, so Clayton was the first one in.

I think I mentioned my awesome friend, Shannon. She brought Clayton and I some yummy cookies. Almost embarrassed to
admit how fast they disappeared after she left. Clayton managed to save
one to share with the unicorns.

A visit from Auntie Shannon!!
I have an amazing awesome superwonderful friend named Shannon. She was partially the inspiration for this blog. She gets such joy out of these pictures, just like I do, so it's only natural to want to share the happy!
One day, Shannon was at my house and we decided to go grab some lunch. Where we ended up is quite close to Clayton's work. We brought him lunch and took Shannon up to meet the unicorns.
They were most excited. They loved it and still talk about her!

On occasion, Clayton has been known to use the unicorns to get something
he wants. On this particular day, "Wishful wanted cajun fries from 5
Guys. He says we can have them because we've been doing such a good
job."

I was having a particularly stressful day myself. I was at a doctor's
appointment that was for noon. I wouldn't have been so frustrated if I
hadn't had an awesome friend who had given me a ride, waiting for me out
in the car. I didn't get into the exam room until almost 12:45 when I
had told my ride "Oh, it should only be like a 10 minute thing".
The longer I waited, the worst I felt about my friend out in her car, the more stressed I got. Now, already having anxiety and panic attacks, this was really wearing on me.
I got this picture with the message, "They are pretending to have a go-kart race!"
I think I fell in love with my husband all over again when I got this picture. To date, it's my absolute favourite. When I saw it, all the anger and tension that I had been feeling just disappeared.

These numbers may seem a bit high to some, but for Clayton, this was a victory to have his pressure down to these numbers.

One of our standing jokes is that there's a big guy that comes by
Clayton's office and demands that he go get a Wendy's baconater for
lunch or he'll do something bad to Clayton. By this logic, Clayton is
required to listen to the guy for fear of getting beat up or something.

Magic seems to be looking at Clayton like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Wishful appears to have a "hey, what's that over there? Can I get into it?" look.

Normally, Clayton would be sitting in his chair at his desk, scowling at the computer while someone complains in his headset.

Wishful's personality begins to emerge..
One day, I got a message from Clayton. This is the picture that was included.
My immediate response:
Where's Wishful?!
The responding message was..

And then there were two!
Magic was very good at her job. She really helped Clayton focus on
letting go of some of his stress and anger with "stupid people". I started to wonder though, if she was going to get overwhelmed one day with the overwhelming amount of stupid.
I also realized that the weekend was coming up and started to worry about Magic being by herself in the office.
I happened to be at Michaels again (pretty common occurrence) and while in line, saw another unicorn that looked like he could be a great stress fighting buddy for Magic!
It was pretty much an instant bonding. Behold, Magic and Wishful!

In the beginning...
And so it came to be that the beautiful unicorn named Magic went to live with Clayton at his office.

The Origin Story
Magic and Wishful are the collaborative creation of my husband Clayton
and myself. They came into existence after a particularly stressful
time frame in Clayton's life.
He experienced heart palpitations one night which sent them to the emergency room. After about six stressful hours, it was determined that Clayton had unchecked high blood pressure.
It was after this news that he realized how much he had been stressed out at work and really needed to find a way to ease that stress, but how to do it in a job that won't really let up?
I was at Michaels craft store one day, waiting to check out. I happened to notice an adorable pink Beanie Baby unicorn staring at me with the cutest glittering eyes. It was then that I knew how to help with Clayton's stress problem.
Magic, the pink unicorn, was presented to Clayton with the back story that unicorns "eat up the stress and poop out the happies". By this logic, it was only natural that he should take Magic, the name on her tag, to work with him as that's where the stress was occurring.
To my surprise, Clayton actually did take Magic to work with him and set her up in his office. He would report back and make up little stories about how she helped convince him that the people who were yelling at him in the phone were just silly bears who had toothaches. Another story was that the people who were annoying were silly bears who had lost their hats, so that's why they were fussy. For some reason, visualizing the customers that caused him stress as bears seemed to help Clayton relax more and not to take things so seriously.
After about three days and perilously close to the weekend, I realized that Magic was going to be by herself for two days. Another trip to Michaels and the spotted unicorn named Wishful joined the family.
Between the pair, Magic is the more wide eyed, innocent and Wishful is more adventuresome and mischievous. They both take their jobs of helping Clayton very seriously so lots and lots of adventures and fun is had by all.
Thus, the adventures begin!
For the record.. this is done for fun. Clayton is not a professional photographer and I'm never going to ask him to retake pictures. I'm lucky to get the ones that I do! It's all amateur, it's all done in fun. :)
